My Blog But A Day Late :( Sorry Mr. Schick!

My essay question would be: What are the three groups of Plato's ideal society? Explain their roles and put them in order of lowest value to highest value.

The first paragraph would be talking about Plato's ideal society the forms and then the three groups and their value in the society.

The second paragraph would be about the producers because they have the least value. I would have them talk about their class assignment/ value and what they would do for the society. I would also have them talk about why they think this role is the lowest.

The third paragraph would be about the military and their value and again I would have them talk about their roles and what they do for society. I would have them talk about why they think this role is placed in the middle of the value scale.

The forth paragraph would talk about the rulers and their class value plus what they would do for the society. I would again have them talk about why they think Plato assigned this one with the highest value.

The fifth paragraph would just be a brief review of everything they had talked about in the essay.

A Poem About Bucephalus

Bucephalus,
an untamable horse that belonged to a palace,
his will was strong and his attitude was callous,
it seemed no one could tame him because he was filled with too much malice,
until one person came,
Alexander was his name,
he held on his mane,
until the young horse was tame,
people called him lame,
but Alexander cared for him just the same,
they went on to conquer all the land had to offer.

Classical Greek Architecture

Picture
This picture depicts the different columns ancient Greek architects might use. As you can see they are all very similar in nature and don't have very obvious defining characters that differentiate them from each other. Most Ancient Greek buildings have this style and these columns.

the divine ancient greek architecture
This picture shows the art that ancient Greeks often incorporated with their structures. The art most often was dedicated to their gods and would depict them. As you can see it was built at the highest most eye-drawing point on the building.

Greek Theater :)

There were two types of plays typically performed in Greek theater which were tragedy or comedy. Tragedy is typically a serious and often sad type of play about love, hate, war, or betrayal. These plays often have a main character or a tragic hero. A flaw often causes the downfall of the hero and this flaw was hubris, or excessive pride. Comedy was their other most popular type of play which usually had crude humor and slapstick comedy. Playwrights often used politics, people of influence, or ideas of the time to fuel their plays.

Plays in ancient Greece are similar to those in modern days because of the costumes often being dramatized to either go along with the play or to symbolize which character they exactly are. For example when someone is playing an animal they dress up in full body suits or very similar looking textures/ furs as the animal they are trying to reenact.

Theatre of Delphi
Greek theaters all look similar to this one in their structure and the way the seats come up above the stage. They are wide and deep in order to fit a big audience and the reason the stage is at the bottom is in hopes the actors voices would echo and everyone would be able to hear.

Dear Brenna (Me), As I write this letter I am told that forty-fifty year old me would be reading it. That's pretty cool and I bet I am ...
